Reese Hoffa (born October 8, 1977 in Evans, Georgia) is an American shot putter. Reese won the shot put in the 2006 World Indoor Track and Field Championships in Moscow, Russia. As of 2007, his personal bests stand at 22.11 m (72' 6.25") indoor and 22.43 m (73' 7") outdoor. His outdoor performance ranks him 11th on the world all-time lists. Hoffa is the reigning world champion in shot put. He won this title in Osaka, on 25th August 2007, with a throw of 22.04 m, 43 cm ahead of compatriot and training partner Adam Nelson.
