Red was signed to Essential Records, a subsidiary of Sony BMG. They released their debut album End of Silence on June 6, 2006. The album was produced by Grammy-nominated songwriter/producer Rob Graves. The album's first single, "Breathe Into Me", peaked at #15 on the US Mainstream Rock chart and won the "Rock Recorded Song of the Year" award at the 38th annual GMA Dove Awards in 2007.[2] The band has toured with fellow Christian bands Kutless, Disciple, and Flyleaf as well as with mainstream artists of their genre, including Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Puddle of Mudd, and Sevendust. The band also made appearances at the Christian teen conference Acquire the Fire. According to Red's MySpace, they are currently working on a second album. On November 27, 2007, Red's van and trailer had crashed on an interstate resulting in a major accident. There was major damage to the vehicles involved, but no one was seriously hurt.
