Recon is a straight-edge metalcore band that was formed in Glens Falls, New York in 2003. Their sound combines that of heavy hardcore and metal, with memorable lyrics and crushing breakdowns. The band has developed an extremely strong independent following, so much so that venues have been shut down due to violence during their set. With many tours under their belt, record labels started to take notice of this wrecking ball of a band. They have toured throughout the entire United States with bands such as Thick As Blood, Palehorse, Emmure, The Miles Between, and Winds Of Plague. In August of 2007 Recon signed a deal with Rise Records and is set to record and put out "Welcome To Viper City" in 2008.
