Ramona Pringle is a Canadian actress and television host. Born in Toronto, she was named after the Ramones by her punk rock-loving parents. Ramona started her career doing a series of international commercials for Ricola, where she played Heidi which quickly developed a cult following online, and made Pringle instantly recognizable as "The Ricola Girl". Since then, Pringle has graduated from York University in Toronto, and in her work as an actress has worked with heavy hitters including Russell Crowe, Ron Howard, Angelica Houston, Andie McDowell, Justin Timberlake, Paul Giamatti, and Clive Owen whom she is opposite in the 2007 blockbuster Shoot 'em Up. Pringle also hosted The X, CBC Television's flagship program for teens where she interviewed bands and hung out with celebrities. Viewers across Canada knew she had come a long way from her first commercial as "Heidi" when Jim Carrey cleared his throat at the Canada's Walk of Fame inductions, right after meeting her, and yodeled "Ricolaaaaa."
