Rahi is one of the 57 Union Councils of Abbottabad District in the North West Frontier Province of Pakistan [1]. It is located in the south west of the district.

History

Rahi used to be part of neighbouring Phalla Union Council, recently it was declared as a separate Union Council . Mr. Shakil Abbasi the famous player of Pakistan Hockey comes from this village. The Nazim of Union Council Phalla comes from Rahi.

Tribes

The Abbasi tribe form a majority of the inhabitants.

Location

The union council of Rahi is located in the south west of Abbottabad district, - its western border is with Haripur. Rahi also borders the following within Abbottabad District Majuhan to the north, Goreeni to the west and Phalla to the south. Rahi is a very beautiful village, situated on the hallow part of the mountain. The River Haro flows alongside it. Rahi is the main Village of this union Council along with Nara, Satoora, Charboot, Thath Karam Shah. These areas are naturally beautiful.
