Raamlaxman (born Vijay Patil) is an Indian pianist and accordionist and was part of an orchestra called the Amar - Vijay Orchestra. Vijay Patil paired with Raam. He is the "Laxman" of duo composers "Raam-Laxman". "Raam" passed away right after signing for Agent Vinod (1977) in 1976. Vijay Patil however continued with the name, as he had great success in '90s with Maine Pyar Kiya (1989), changed the spelling to "Raamlaxman". He has composed several hit songs in Hindi and Marathi. Raamlaxman has done almost 75 films in Hindi, Marathi and Bhojpuri. Raamlaxman is most famous for his work with Rajshri Proudctions of Bollywood. He composed music for their hit movies like Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Hum Saath Saath Hain and others. His first movie with the production house was Agent Vinod. In Marathi films Raamlaxman mostly worked with Marathi comedian actor Dada Kondke.
