Quezon Avenue MRT Station, also called Quezon for short, is a station on the Manila MRT Blue Line (MRT-3). Quezon Avenue station is one of the many elevated stations that can be found on the line. The station is located in Diliman in Quezon City and is named after Quezon Avenue, one of the busy thoroughfares of Quezon City. It is named after Manuel L. Quezon, the president from 1935 to 1944. The station is the twelfth station for trains headed to North Avenue and the second station for trains headed to Taft Avenue. One of the most famous landmarks that can be seen from the station (or an MRT train headed to the station) is the headquarters of ABS-CBN, one of the Philippines' leading media companies, located at Sergeant Esguerra Street, near Quezon Avenue.

Transportation links

Buses, jeepneys and taxis can be used to navigate the area. There is a bus stop near the station entrance.

Incidents and accidents

• A catenary wire broke near Kamuning station, where a southbound train headed from this station was stranded, forcing the passengers inside the train to walk to that station. Service was suspended from Shaw Boulevard to North Avenue, with commuters also asking whether the incident was purely mechanical or incidental, as some claim that the malfunctions were used to justify the MRTC's call for higher fares.^[1]
• Policemen stopped the man who was about to jump from the roof of the MRT station. The man told reporters that he attempted to end his life because no one has taken care of him. The man said that he is homeless. ^[2]
• One person was injured after a commotion broke out and sent people on one escalator falling on top of each other. The still unidentified man allegedly shouted incoherent phrases prompting passengers to head to the exits in panic. ^{[3] [4]}
