Queen Ahmose was the queen of Thutmose I and mother of queen and later Pharaoh Hatshepsut. Possibly Ahmose was the granddaughter of Queen Ahmose-Nefertari and the daughter ofAmenhotep I of Egypt or she was the daughter of king Ahmose and queen Ahmose-Nefertari and the sister of Amenhotep I. Her daughter Hatshepsut went on to be one of Egypt's greatest pharaohs. Ahmose was the Great Royal Wife of Thutmose I, Pharaoh of Egypt, a military general who became pharaoh.
