Story

The story starts out with Saketome Kiyohiko trying to take a band audition. In his way he sees a strange man named Jaguar carrying a big case, which turns out to be holding only a small recorder. Kiyohiko tries not to get distracted by him but fails, because when Jaguar plays his recorder a guitar like sound comes out of it. After that many things happen and Kiyohiko ends up being roommates with Jaguar.

Characters

Jaguar Junichi (ジャガージュン市 Jyagaa Jyun'ichi ?)
Jaguar is a strange man that likes to play the recorder. He and Piyohiko are roommates in Gari Dormitories, where he runs a recorder class.
Generally when somebody blows in a recorder the sounds go like "Pyuu" (ピュー), but Jaguar sometimes makes sounds like Gyiiiiiiiiin (ギュイイイイイイイン) that is used to describe guitar-like sounds.
Seiyū: Keiji Fujiwara
Live-Action Film: Jun Kaname
Kyohiko Saketome (酒留清彦 Saketome Kiyohiko?)
Nickname: Piyohiko (ピヨ彦 Piyohiko)
Piyohiko is a normal man who dreams of being a great Guitarist. He's somewhat a narrator of the history. Even thought he thinks Flutes are lame, he's in the Flute Class (mostly because of Jaguar) and, ironically, his family owns a flute shop (and his father is as weird as Jaguar). He's very similar, if not identical, to Fu-min from Sexy Commando Gaiden: Sugoiyo! Masaru-san (both have an objective, act as a tsukkomi to Masaru/Jaguar (boke), and are very similar in appearance)
Seiyū: Junichi Kanemaru
Live-Action Film: Manabu Ōmura
Hammer (ハマー?)
Real Name: Hiromitsu Hamawatari (浜渡浩満 Hamawatari Hiromitsu?)
A Hip Hop ninja who lives in the attic above Jaguar and Piyohiko's room. He is known for ending his sentences with YO, adding -dono to people's names, and referring to himself in the first person as Sessha (拙者 an archaic word for "I"?).
Seiyū: Katsuyuki Konishi
Live-Action Film: Hiroaki Ogi
Takana Shirakawa (白川高菜 Shirakawa Takana?)
A female student who once belonged to the Idol department before joining the flute department.
Seiyū: Izumi Kasagi
Live-Action Film: Mai Takahashi

In other media

He has 2 games one on Game Boy Advance and another on Playstation 2. Several characters from the series have also made both Nintendo DS WSJ crossover games, Jump Superstars and Jump Ultimate Stars, with Jaguar acting as a playable character in both.
