- Punani, Sri Lanka, a small hamlet in Sri Lanka made famous in 1920 by a man-eating leopard
- A Jamaican Patois term for the vagina or vulva used as slang in American English. The term's usage in American slang is thought to come from Jamaican dancehall and reggae music, where was is used since at least the 1970s. It is also used in Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, Surinam, Barbados and other Caribbean countries. As a slang term, it has many variant spellings.
