One of the great historic pubs of London, famous for its remarkable interior. Situated at 208-209 High Holborn, London, WC1V 7EP, near Holborn London Underground station. Run by the Samuel Smith Brewery of Tadcaster, Yorkshire but (as at July 2007) closed for refurbishment until December 2007. Samuel Smith has a reputation for retention of historic features and the building is protected by its Grade II* listing.
