Prawn sandwich brigade is a derogatory term that describes corporate or otherwise emotionally detached football fans who attend matches primarily to enjoy hospitality, rather than support their team.[1] The term originated from a media comment by Manchester United's Roy Keane who felt certain sections of the crowd had not been vocal enough in their support during the Champions League game against Dynamo Kiev in November 2000.
