Power of Dreams were a Dublin-based pop/rock band, built around Craig and Keith Walker. They released their critically acclaimed EP "A Little Piece of God" on Keith Cullen's Setanta Records in 1989. Following a six-figure bidding war between rival record companies, Power of Dreams then signed a deal with Polygram. Their first album, Immigrants, Emigrants and Me, received glowing reviews worldwide, and the band embarked on a global tour, taking in more than 30 countries, including Japan and North America. The album sold well in France, Japan, UK and Ireland. Their second album, 2 Hell With Common Sense, was produced by Dave Meegan and featured a more powerful-sounding band, helped largely by the addition of Ian Olney on guitar. Positivity was released by Sony, and further developed the soundscapes introduced on their previous record. The songwriting continued to highlight Walker's mature observations of the world with songs such as "Cathy's World" and "Evil Evol", dealing with subject matter seldom touched on in music. With sales increasing in Japan, Power of Dreams recorded their final album, the suitably titled Become Yourself. Marking a further evolution in the band's sound, this record delicately completes a set of recordings which are a rare lyrical insight into the life journey of adolescence to parenthood. After Power of Dreams, Craig Walker formed a band called Pharmacy with Ian Olney, Chris Pierce and Morty MacArty (from The Sultans of Ping FC). Pharmacy released one single called Shine. Subsequently, Craig Walker recorded 3 albums with Archive before starting work on his own material due for release in 2006. Keith Walker currently fronts Paranoid Saints and drums for The Ex-Kings. Ian Olney has been playing bass for The Sultans of Ping FC since 2005.
