Pombal (IPA: [põ.'baɫ]) is a city and a municipality in Portugal with a total area of 626.1 km² and a total population of 58,617 inhabitants.The city population is about 18.000 inhabitants. The municipality is composed of 17 parishes, and is located in the district of Leiria, in the sub region Pinhal Litoral.It seviced by a main railway station. The present Mayor is Narciso Ferreira Mota, elected by the Social Democratic Party. The municipal holiday is November 11.
