The Medal may, in special circumstances, be awarded to any person engaged in operational duties whose acts or series of acts constitute distinguished conduct. The Medal may be awarded posthumously.

Description

  • The medal is silver-gilt and consists, on the obverse, of a four-lobed artifice superimposed upon 2 crossed swords. In the centre of the artifice is a five-pointed star on a red enamelled background encircled by a laurel wreath in green enamel. At the base there is a scroll with the inscription "PINGAT KEHORMATAN".
  • The reverse bears the State Arms.
  • The ribbon consists of a white centre band flanked on each side by a red stripe, a purple stripe, a grey stripe followed by a purple band and a grey band, in that order.
