Peter Harris (born 1961), popularly known as Blu Peter, is an electronic dance music record producer and disc jockey from South Wales who pioneered the Nu-NRG music genre in the late 1990s. In the early 1990s he served as resident DJ at major London nightclubs such as Heaven and Turnmills, and found international acclaim performing at raves and nightclubs throughout the world. His DJ career was established, Harris began producing original music as Blu Peter, and also teamed with Kevin White to form a production duo called Elevator. The two co-produced numerous progressive house, progressive trance, and hard house singles and EPs from 1994 through the early 2000s. Meanwhile, Harris continued to produce and release solo work as Blu Peter: dozens of 12-inch singles, CD singles, and remixes, many of which were released on the London-based React Music record label. In 1999, he released his first LP, Widescreen & Digital. Over the years, Harris has additionally published a small number of tracks and remixes under the aliases Blu Peter & Sal, The Groove Council, Quench, and Mass. In May 2005 it was announced that Peter Harris would be marrying his longterm life'n'love partner in a civil cermony in Derry City, Northern Ireland.
