It is led by Sim Dae-pyung and Shin Kook-hwan. Its profile is center-right, conservative. The party is based in the central provinces of Chungcheong. The group absorbed the small opposition United Liberal Democrats also based in the region. It has currently 5 seats in the South Korean parliament.
