Pella Corporation is an American window and door manufacturing company. Founded in 1925 as the Rolscreen Company, the company is headquartered in Pella, Iowa.[1] The company employs 41% of the city's population.[2] The company was initially most widely known for its "disappearing" Rolscreen window screen, an insect screen which rolls out of sight when not in use. The company changed its name in 1992 to Pella Corporation, to better reflect its entire product offering.[1] The company has been named by Fortune magazine as one of the "100 Best Companies to Work For" for eight consecutive years since 2000.[1]
