Pelham is an unincorporated community in northwest Caswell County, North Carolina at the North Carolina/Virginia border. It is often considered a suburb of nearby Danville, Virginia. Pelham is located along Pelham Loop Road near the eastern terminus of NC 700 at US 29 (future Interstate 785). Neighboring communities, independent cities, and municipalities include Danville, Eden, Ruffin, Yanceyville, Purley, and Casville. Many of the teenage female adolesence who reside in Pelham and attend Bartlett Yancey High School often seek a future in nursing, a class offered in Peidmont Community College's Yanceyville, NC campus. In the summer of 2006, Pelham's nightlife welcomed a new club, "Evil Empire". Many people would come together to gossip, dance, and would engage in many irresponsible activities. The club received most of their popularity from their monthly "foam party". Occasional fights would occur, mainly involving women disputing with each other over various reasons. Evil Empire is currently closed for the season and is rumored to re-open in Spring or Summer of 2008.
