The Peach Drop is the name for the downtown Atlanta New Year's Eve celebration. It is so called because a giant replica of a peach is dropped in the style of a time ball, in a similar style to the ball drop in Times Square (New York City). It is held each year on December 31 at Underground Atlanta.
