Career

Her first soap opera role was of waitress Cissie Mitchell Sentell on Search for Tomorrow, a role she played from 1979 until 1982. In 1984, she debuted as Kimberly Brady Donovan on Days. She was half of a very popular supercouple, as many viewers were interested in her love affair and eventual marriage to Charles Shaughnessy's character, Shane Donovan. In 1990, she left the show abruptly when a storyline decision dictated that Kimberly would come to terms with her uncle sexually abusing her as a child. She returned again from 1991-1992 and has made several guest appearances over the years since.

Personal Life

Pease's nickname in high school was "Zonker." She attended the North Carolina Governor's School in Drama in the summer of 1973. When she returned to Days in 1991, she went public with her own story: her mother had emotionally and physically abused her for years. She left the show again in 1992 to raise her children. Currently, Pease lectures to support groups and tells others about her childhood and how she eventually forgave her mother.
