Paine is a city towards the South of the province of Maipo. Is a commune of Chile, in the Metropolitan Region of Santiago, which forms part of Greater Santiago. As of 2002, it had a population of roughly 50.028. According to the geopolitical distribution, Paine is one of the 4 communes who conform the province of Maipo, and is one of but the extensive ones throughout the country.
