P-O-X is a handheld electronic game released by Hasbro in 2001. The game includes both single and multilayer modes and a 30 foot (9 meter) wireless connection range. It is notable for the viral marketing scheme used in its introduction (a pun on the viral roots of the word pox). Hasbro asked kids in Chicago schools who they thought the "coolest" student was. Free copies of the game were distributed to the "cool" kids.[1]Hasbro hoped that this method could create a new fad. P-O-X, however, failed to live up to the press hype. The Game is now being written into a book by the author Michael Kautz. The Storyline is the same, but life style is wisely differs. The story line is of four kids on a run, and three of them get infected by the virus. The first book is called the zodiac and is scheduled to be released in 2008. The P.O.X. are now in nations of Plasmo(More like the U.S. in Democracy and Republic) and the Spiro(like U.S.S.R.), although the newer spieces called Cycro are undetermined and only consist of a rough fleet. More releases are scheduled in 2009-2010, and later dates are on the way. Hasbro had then denied him the right and would sue if he did, thus leaving question for debate, if they were going to set up a new game system?
