The release of this album marked the beginning of A New Day..., Dion's five year concert arrangement at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. "I Drove All Night" was chosen as the leadoff single. The original cover version of this song was recorded by Cyndi Lauper in 1989. A version by Roy Orbison, of whom the song was originally aimed, was aired in 1992. "Have You Ever Been in Love" was the second single in the United States and the third in selected countries. The song was already featured on Dion's previous album, called A New Day Has Come. The second single outside the U.S. was the title track "One Heart." There were also two radio releases at the end of 2003: "Stand by Your Side" (U.S.) and "Faith" (Canada). "Reveal" was written by Cathy Dennis who also wrote "Toxic" for Britney Spears and "Can't Get You out of My Head" for Kylie Minogue among others. "Sorry for Love (2003 version)" is actually an original version of the song. The dance version was released a year earlier, on A New Day Has Come. "Coulda Woulda Shoulda" was a part of the A New Day Has Come limited edition. "Je t'aime encore" was recorded also in French and included on Céline Dion's next album 1 fille & 4 types. "I Know What Love Is" produced by Ric Wake was originally produced by Peer Astrom for A New Day Has Come album. However at that time the track was thought to be somewhat incorrect by the label and was re-produced by Ric Wake for One Heart. In the United States, "I Drove All Night," "Have You Ever Been in Love," "One Heart," and "Love Is All We Need" were used, from 2003 to 2004, in an advertising campaign for DaimlerChrysler. Thanks to this album Céline Dion won an American Music Award for Favorite Artist in the Adult Contemporary category, in November 2003. "Have You Ever Been in Love" and "I Drove All Night" were a part of the A New Day... show set list. The latter was included on A New Day... Live in Las Vegas CD.
