Ogden otherwise known as the 'Kingdom of Ogden' in West Yorkshire is a small hamlet to the north of Halifax. Its most recognisable landmarks are: A wind farm, which dominates the landscape and can be seen from as far afield as Scammonden reservoir near Huddersfield. A golf course, which offers views of the surrounding moorland and Ogden reservoir, around which are footpaths for visitors to walk and view the local wildlife. More recently the area has become known for its nightlife and has become a famous tourist attraction as the birthplace of poet, writer and artist Séan Walsh (friend of the Brontë sisters) who lived in the area from 1802-1872.
