NPC also partners with community members in Apache County, Arizona. The College offers over 8,000 courses college-wide during fall and spring semesters, approximately 2,000 courses during summer sessions, and distance education courses via the World Wide Web throughout the year. Its mission is "To enrich the quality of life for individuals and communities by providing comprehensive, accessible, excellent, affordable, and lifelong learning opportunities." On April 17, 2007, the Navajo County Community College District Governing Board terminated the contract of Ralph Orr, effective immediately. Mark Vest, Vice President for Student Services, was named Acting President of Northland Pioneer College.
