Nicola Slater is a British children's illustrator. She has illustrated the UK editions of The Princess Diaries, as well as the Nina Fairy Ballerina series with Anna Wilson, and the Elvis picture books with Andrew Murray.She has illustrated covers for Meg Cabot and Jean Ure. Slater's style is very minimalistic, with a cartoony feel to them. Most of Slater's characters have small eyes, with high arched eyebrows and tiny pointed noses.
