Nial Fulton is an accomplished producer with over fifteen years film and television experience in over 10 countries.

Background

Nial was born in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland and attended Portora Royal School and Queen's University Belfast. He is a fully qualified architect and currently lives in Australia with his partner Abbey and their two sons.

Career

Nial has worked with some of the world’s most respected producers and directors on a diverse range of productions, including Steven Spielberg’s six times Academy award winner Saving Private Ryan and six times Emmy award winning mini series Band of Brothers. Other selected credits include the BAFTA award winning UK television series Cold Feet, critically acclaimed drama Blind Flight and the Academy nominated short film Everything In This Country Must [1]. In 2004 Nial production managed Channel 4’s most ambitious documentary to date, the acclaimed Jump Britain. Nial featured in the documentary Making Jump Britain, which also screened on Channel 4. In addition to his freelance work, Nial has worked with Bord Scannán na hEireánn and the Northern Ireland Film and Television Commission on a diverse range of co-productions, features and television drama. In 2005 he line produced two major television series for Australian broadcasters, Two Of Us [2] Bondi Rescue and feature documentary Naked On The Inside [3]. In 2006, Nial joined Essential Viewing [4] and produced a four part documentary Policing The Pacific [5] following the Australian Federal Police on deployment in the Solomon Islands and East Timor. In 2007 he will produce Ten Pound Poms [6] and line-produce The Catalpa Rescue [7] and The Bridge [8] for Essential Viewing. 2007 will also see Nial complete work on the script for an Irish/Australian factual drama called The Last Confession of Alexander Pearce [9] which is due to start filming summer 2008 in Tasmania and Ireland.

Trivia

Nial features in the 'Making Of Jump Britain' documentary and provides a commentary on the DVD.
