Park

The crown jewel of the New Paris townscape is Sunnyside Park. Developed by renowned architect Clarence Stein, the park features breathtaking foliage and a state-of-the-art playground. The main attraction of the park, by Stein's own admission, is the majestic "Duck Pond." The intricate design was partly inspired by the Palace of Versailles as an homage to the town's namesake. The estimated cost of the Duck Pond project was reportedly $4.6 million and required six years to complete. In 1992, Sunnyside Park was chosen as America's Most Beautiful Park by the National Library for the Blind.
