Taking their name from 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, this Brooklyn, NY based band (founded by Dennis Tyhacz & Luke McCartney) was formed in 2002 [1], and they released their debut LP "Signs of Life" in June 2004 on Binge Records.

The album was notable for it's unique collisions of New Wave, ethereal acoustic sounds, and inspired indie rock. It was recorded entirely in an apartment in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, prior to becoming one of the final LP's to be mastered at the Vic Thrill Salon in Brooklyn, NY (shortly before the Salon was closed in 2004). McCartney & Tyhacz are currently recording in a group called The Sound Mirrors, and they're releasing their debut LP "The Calling" in 2007, also on Binge Records. [2] [3] [4][5]
