Nara is a major Manchu clan. The Hulun Four States (Hada, Ula, Hoifa, Yehe) were ruled by this clan. Hada Nara and Ula Nara share the ancestor. Yehe Nara originated in the Mongols but took over this clan. Hoifa Nara came from the Ikderi clan. Empress Dowager Cixi was from the Yehe Nara clan.
