Nancy Dawes is a fictional character in the novel series The Baby-sitters Club and Baby-sitters Little Sister, both written by Ann M. Martin. Nancy and her family are Jewish. They live next door to Karen Brewer's mother's house, in a subdivision of the fictional town of Stoneybrook, Connecticut. Nancy has a baby brother, Danny, and a kitten, Pokey. She is a 7-year-old student in Ms. Colman's second-grade class at Stoneybrook Academy with her two best friends Hannie Papadakis and Karen Brewer. The trio call themselves "The Three Musketeers" or the "3M." Nancy enjoys theater, ballet, and playing the clarinet. She has an adopted grandmother from Stoneybrook Manor, a retirement center, through a program at school. Nancy is a homebody at heart, and she often suffers from homesickness when at summer camp.
