Murone (室根村; -mura) was a village located in Higashiiwai District, Iwate, Japan. On September 20, 2005 the village merged with three towns and another village from the district, and a town from Nishiiwai District, into the expanded city of Ichinoseki. As of 2003, the village had an estimated population of 6,016 and a density of 61.84 persons per km². The total area was 97.28 km².
