Morningside is a neighbourhood in the city of Toronto, more specifically in Scarborough. Morningside is bordered by Highway 401 to the North, Morningside Avenue to the East, West Highland Creek and Lawrence Avenue to the South and Scarborough Golf Club Road to the West. There is a combination of single detached homes, row houses and high rise buildings in the area. One example of this is Mornelle Court which is almost exclusively made up of low-rent apartment builldings. While the majority of people own houses, it is likely due to their relatively cheap price tag compared with the rest of the city. There is an above average number of African and Black people living in this area. There are many other niche facts that make this another of Toronto's diverse neighbourhoods (see Statscan 2001 census).
