Biography

Her first single, "VS", was released in March 2006 and her following single "Kojin Jugyo" released in May 2006. Her third single, "SPEEDRIVE", was released in July 2006. Her upcoming single will be, like "VS", the theme song for the next video game in the Tales of series. It will also include a b-side entitled "Tomorrow" which is featured in a Glico CM. "Tomorrow" is a cover of Okamoto Mayo's 1995 classic by the same name. misono debuted as a solo artist at Velfarre, a popular dance club owned by Avex, in 2006. Her 4th single, LOVELY♥CAT'S EYE, debuted at #9 on the Oricon Charts. After the 5th single, HOT TIME/A.__~Answer~, misono released her debut album, titled never+land. Unfortunately, the album flopped and debuted with low sales. The low sales are thought to have been caused by the lack of new songs on the album (only 4 out of 12 were new) and the lack of promotion from Avex. In addition, the previously announced the untitled mini-cover album was canceled. On May 16, 2007 Misono released a new single called Pochi, including 11 eleven on the b-side. It was released in CD and CD+DVD format and debuted at #36 on the Oricon Top 200. misono is also the younger sister of pop star Kumi Koda.
