Mihály Mosonyi (born Michael Brand; September 4, 1815 in Frauenkirchen, Austria – died October 31, 1870 in Budapest) was a Hungarian composer, known for a German classical style. He was a mostly instrumental composer; like many of his peers, he was interested in creating a Hungarian musical style. His best known works include Funeral Music and Feast of Purification. He also composed a Piano Concerto in E minor and at least two symphonies.
