Mette Jacobsen (born March 24, 1973 in Nakskov) is a former freestyle and butterfly swimmer from Denmark, who competed at five consequentive Summer Olympics for her native country, starting in 1988. Her final breakthrough came in 1995, when she won two titles at the European LC Championships in Vienna, Austria: in the 100m backstroke and in the 100m butterfly. Many medals followed, especially in the short course (25m) championships.
