In Norse mythology, Megingjörð (Megingjord), was a belt which gave the wearer strength. It was the Megingjörð that gave Thor the strength to lift Mjölnir. It has also been said that the more the belt is tightened. the stronger the bearer becomes.
In popular culture
- In the anime Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora, Megingjord is the name of one of the Absolute Angels.
