Sporting History

Matthew has been involved in shooting for many years, beginning his career as a school boy with the Watsonian shooting club under the watchful gaze of his family, who have a distinguished history within Scottish shooting. He is involved with the University of Edinburgh rifle club as well as maintaining his link with Watsonians. His career has taken him around the world where he has competed in Nordic, European and World competitions, as well as being crowned Scottish Mens Prone Champion in 2004 and winning numerous Scottish caps.

Currently

Matthew is involved with both the Scottish and Great Britain squads, where he is tipped for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. He has recently been rewarded with a professional contract. His continued successes on the shooting front has however been undermined by his notable FIFA failings.
