Mass Romantic is the highly-rated first album by the indie rock supergroup The New Pornographers. It was released in 2000 by Mint Records in Canada and by Matador Records in the United States. In 2001, Mass Romantic won a Juno Award for Alternative Album of the Year. "Letter from an Occupant" was featured in the 2001 film Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and during VH1's commercials for Hogan Knows Best in 2005.
