Marshall Cavendish is a subsidiary company of Times Publishing Group the printing and publishing subsidiary of Singapore based Fraser and Neave Limited and at present is a publisher of books, directories, magazines and partworks. Marshall Cavendish was established in the United Kingdom in 1968 by Norman Marshall and Patrick Cavendish. Times Publishing Group acquired it in 1980. They have published over 150 complete collections, such as the Input Magazine. Their market has expanded from the United kingdom to fourteen other markets including Russia, where the company introduced the partwork concept. Partwork examples include How It Works, Images of War, Zodiac, The Ancestral Trail and Tree of Knowledge. Today Marshall Cavendish publishes under a variety of brands such as Federal-Marshall Cavendish Education, Benchmark Books, Marshall Cavendish Academic and Times Books International.
