Mandian is the northern part of Abbottabad city, located in Abbottabad District in the North West Frontier Province of Pakistan. The population of this area is 80,000.

Origin of name

Due to the area being a centre of commerce, there were markets and businesses in the area, the word Mandian means fruit or vegetable markets. Today Mandian is a busy hub of the city and there are many Schools and Colleges located in the area. Mandian is also known as Ghori Chowk, as a monument of Ghori Missile is installed there. If you ever come to mandian, do try the "DAHE BARHAE" and "SAMOSA CHAT" there.
