Book of Shadows
Enemies
- The Triad: a group of three high-level demons that direct some supernatural matters. They were quite high in the evil hierarchy. When they became aware of the existence of The Charmed Ones, they began sending demons to destroy them, including the demon Belthazor. The members of the Triad appeared as human males, but some had blackened eyes. Each had the ability to commune directly with The Source, the power to throw energy balls, the ability to teleport, and the power to manifest athames at will. Though their membership was known to change, the Triad was only ever comprised of three demons at a time.
Spells
- Handfasting: Handfasting is the eternal joining of two people in love. It is a sacred ceremony of commitment, presided over by a High Priestess. Best performed at a time of sunrise and sunset where both the Sun and the Moon are present in the joining of the two Lovers. Chant: Heart to thee, body to thee. Always and forever, so mote it be.

Trivia
- Magic Hour is the supposedly magic times of twilight before dawn and after sunset.
- The storyline is practically a copy of the movie Ladyhawke, hence Piper's comment: "I swear I've seen this in a movie."
- When the Charmed Ones are searching the forest for where Christopher encounters the wolf or coyote, there is a full moon in the sky. Later that day, there is a solar eclipse. This is astronomically impossible. Solar eclipses occur only at new moons, and lunar eclipses only at full moons. It would be a matter of two weeks rather than a few hours between the full moon in the forest and the solar eclipse.
- The sisters did not want the Elders to hear about Piper and Leo's secret marriage, so everyone uses the word "rutabaga" as a substitute for the word wedding.
- Piper and Leo attempted to marry in secret at the end of this episode. However, it doesn't go as planned, and the Elders punish him by taking him away for most of the next episode.
- This is the first appearance of the Triad, who were previously known as the Council.
- When Phoebe and Prue are arguing about who should be Piper's Matron of Honor, Phoebe says that Prue has known her longer and Prue says that she was three and Piper was one, but from their birthdays it is noted that Prue was actually five and Piper was three or four when Phoebe was born.
