Macleod is a north eastern suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Its Local Government Area is the City of Banyule. Macleod's Local Australian rules football team is the Kangaroos, who play in Division 2 of the Northern Football League (NFL). They also have a cricket team called The Macleod Eagles, who play in Money Shield within the Diamond Valley Cricket Association. There is also a local basketball team called the Banyule Hawks whose home ground is the Banyule YMCA in Macleod. Macleod's most significant educational facility is "Macleod College", A co-educational P-12 school. Macleod train station lies in zone 2 within the Melbourne ticketing system, on the Hurstbridge line.
