Lukáš Bauer ['lʊka:ʃ 'baʊ̯ɛr] (born August 18, 1977 in Ostrov nad Ohří, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech cross country skier who has competed since 1996. On February 17, 2006, he won the Winter Olympics silver medal for the 15 km cross-country classical. His best finish at the Nordic skiing World Championships was 5th in the 15km event in 2005. Bauer is son-in-law of another Czech skier Helena Balatková-Šikolová. [1]
