Biography

She was born near Redbridge in Essex, England, the fifth child of seven siblings to a family of Irish extraction. She began taking drama lessons when she was eight. Lombard was educated in a local Roman Catholic school, from which she achieved nine O' Levels.[1] Lombard studied printing and photography at St. Martin's College in London. She is best known for her role as Evangeline in the 1990s television show The House of Eliott, in which she played the younger of the two Eliott sisters. Subsequently, in 1998-99 she took a career break to study English Literature at St Edmund's College of University of Cambridge but was soon tempted back to Hollywood by the TV mini-series Metropolis. In 1998 she starred in cult classic, Tale of the Mummy. In 1999, she starred in the movie, "Esther", with F. Murray Abraham. In 2004, she appeared in the film, Hidalgo, and began the recurring role of Sofia Curtis on the hit CBS television series, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, in which she speaks with an American accent, though she is often heard clearly muddling the accent and allowing her English accent to slip through, something she has herself acknowledged in interviews.[2] As of the 2006-07 season, she has been promoted to the opening credits. According to TV Squad, she is filming a pilot for ABC Studios called Judy's Got a Gun. ABC Studios passed on Judy's Got a Gun for the new season. Currently she is filming for a pilot television show for CBS in the United States called Wanted.[1]

Personal life

In 1998, she married Jon Stephen, whom she met the previous year while working on 'Metropolis. They are now separated. Louise has one child, a son named Alejandro with dance instructor Alessandro Sol. Her parents left Dublin in the mid 1950's.
