Long Dong Silver, (born Daniel Arthur Mead in 1960), is a Bermudian Ex porn star who appeared in several pornographic movies in the early to mid 1980s. Mead was famed for the length of his penis and his trademark cowboy hat, worn during his performances. However, it soon came to light within the porn industry that, he was actually wearing an artificial penis-like sheath. . After posing in a few gay porn magazines in the twilight years of his career, Mead retired from the world of porn in 1987. Occasionally Mead (Long Dong Silver) has been confused with another black porn star, John Cook, this is due to the fact that Cook was known by the similar stage name of King Dong. He received new fame in the wake of the Clarence Thomas sexual harassment hearings and was portrayed on such shows as Saturday Night Live and In Living Color.
