The following is a list of character from the Predator series of films.

Predator

"Dutch" Schaefer

Maj. Alan "Dutch" Schaefer (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is the leader of the elite team of commandos. Sent on a mission in Val Verde, saying that presidential cabinet members of Guatemala were kidnapped by guerrilla forces. After attacking the guerrila's post, they discover that the men were actually CIA agents. It is also known that Dutch and his team fought in the Soviet War in Afghanistan for a little time as stated by Poncho Ramirez. As Dutch discusses with Dillon about being used by the Agency, the Predator starts attacking the squad. After some failed traps, the troops start fleeing towards the extraction point. Dutch is hit by the creature, and after telling Anna to go after the extraction chopper, starts running, falling off a cliff into a huge river. Thinking he had escaped, Dutch scrambles through the mud-covered ground upon hearing the Predator land in the water just seconds behind him. Knowing he can't escape in his condition, he resigns himself to a fatal end by huddling against a mass of thick branches and logs consumed in mud. As the creature comes closer, it pauses and is distracted by a small animal in the underbrush. The creature is unable to detect Dutch because of the mud he is covered with, which shields his body heat. Dutch then is shown preparing to fight his enemy by building traps with primitive weapons such as spears and arrows, and using his last grenade launcher rounds to construct exploding arrowheads. After nightfall, Dutch builds a fire and sends a war cry to the creature. After damaging the alien's wrist computer, Dutch successfully injures the creature. The Predator however captures him, and perhaps considering Dutch a worthy opponent for injuring it using only simple weapons and traps (contrasting the special forces team's earlier attempts with modern firearms), removes its shoulder cannon and mask, and proceeds to engage in hand to hand combat. The fight is dominated by the Predator, but Dutch manages to crush the Predator with a deadfall trap. Dutch then asks the crippled alien, "What the hell are you?". The creature however mimics his speech pattern and in a distorted voice, replies with the same question. The alien then laughs (mimicking Billy's laughter) as he activates a plasma-based self-destruct device. Dutch recognizes the device's alien digit display as a countdown timer and runs for cover. A large explosion occurs, leaving the Predator killed and a large area of jungle burned, although Dutch saves himself just in time. The rescue team, after seeing the smoke from the explosion, arrives and airlifts Dutch out of the jungle. The film ends with an exhausted Dutch (silently shaken and contemplative) staring out into the jungle as they leave.

Dillon

Major George Dillon (Carl Weathers) is a former teammate of Dutch and current CIA agent, sent along with Dutch's squad for the mission. Not having been on a mission in a long time, at one point he inadvertently nearly shows their position to the guerillas. He and the CIA have a secret agenda for the mission. Dillon told Schaefer that it was Guatemalan cabinet members that were kidnapped, but it was actually CIA Agents, and the American soldiers led by Hopper that they found earlier were ordered to attack the base but their skins were torn out. It is unclear if they know about the Predator or not. He is impaled by the Predator after having his arm blown off.

Anna

Anna Gonsalves (Elpidia Carrillo) is a guerilla, captured by Dutch's troops following a battle with the leftist rebels. She later tells them of a centuries- old legend inspired by the Predator, of an "old demon" that during hot summers attacks people from remote villages who are later found skinned and hollowed. Anna is the only one to reach the rescue helicopter that later picks up Dutch. Shortly after extraction, she was seen aiding government agents by showing the devastating after-effects of the Predator's self-destruct system on video footage.

Blain

Sgt. Blain Cooper (Jesse Ventura) is a weapons and ordinance specialist, that fought with Mac in Vietnam. He has a tobacco addiction. He does not like Dillon and makes that clear on their helicopter ride. His weapon of choice is a minigun he calls "Ol' Painless". As he is searching for Hawkins' body, the Predator shoots him in the chest with a plasma cannon.

Mac

Sgt. Mac Eliot (Bill Duke) is a friend of Blain. Both he and Blain are unfriendly towards Dillon, and after Dillon nearly shows their position to the guerillas, Mac threatens to kill him. He is the first to harm the Predator, by shooting him after Blain's death. Enraged and saddened by the murder of Blain, he swears that he will avenge Blain's death. Later Mac and Dillon go after the Predator, which kills Mac by shooting through his head with his plasma caster. His line "anytime" is mimicked by the Predator throughout the movie.

Billy

Billy Sole (Sonny Landham), an American Indian "Kit Carson Scout". He dies after presenting a formal knife fight challenge to the Predator, in order to buy Dutch and the survivors of his team more time. Billy's laughter in a scene is mimicked by the Predator as he activates his self-destruct.

Poncho

Jorge "Poncho" Ramirez (Richard Chaves), a Chicano that also acts as a translator. He often wields a grenade launcher. He was badly wounded when the Predator used one of the traps set by the commandos against them and a tree slammed into him. The others had to carry him for the rest of the way. He is the last victim of the Predator, shot in the neck by it in an ambush.

Hawkins

Rick Hawkins (Shane Black) the Irish radioman and medic, that likes to tell sexual jokes. As he captures Anna trying to escape, Hawkins becomes the first victim onscreen of the Predator, that comes out of the jungle slashing his head and severing his carotid artery.

Major General Phillips

Major General Homer Phillips (R.G. Armstrong) sends Dutch's squad on the mission. He is later seen in the rescue helicopter.

The Predator

Main article: Yautja

The titular extraterrestrial (Kevin Peter Hall) is member of a race which hunts aggressive members of other species for sport, that uses active camouflage and can only see the infrared spectrum.

Seeking vengeance for the death of his friend, Agent Danny Archuleta, Harrigan ultimately defeats and destroys the alien.

He and his team have been tracking the creature even before it began its hunting game on LA. His entire team is killed by a Predator, which then slays him.

Jerry Lambert

Agent Jerry Lambert (Bill Paxton) is an LAPD cop, eventually transferred from another precint into Metro Command of LA. He is the joking member of the team often having humorous jokes with agent Leona. During the Predator hunt in the subway, he makes a stand by allowing other civilians as well as the female agent to escape. The Predator eventually kills him as claim his skull and spinal column as a trophy for being a challenging foe.

Danny Archuleta

Agent Danny Arculeta (Ruben Blades) is the second in command of Lt. Michael Harrigan's team. He is the long time friend of Lt. Harrigan as well as being the team's investigator. He is later killed by the creature while retrieving a suspicious spear tip the Predator left behind during the penthouse carnage. The Predator later returns his collar as a symbol of respect.

King Willie

King Willie (Calvin Lockhart} is the boss of the Jamaican Voodoo Posse. He is having the same problem with the Predator as Harrigan is. All that he knows at his meeting with Harrigan is that The Predator is from another world. When he saw the Predator at sight he said "He saw a distant light in the Holy Mountain. Selah." and drew his sword against the creature before his head was sliced off and his spine was torn out of his body.

Leona Cantrell

Leona Cantrell (Maria Conchita Alonso) is an LAPD cop involved in the Jamaican-Columbian Gang wars.
