Lieutenant Thomas Peacock was an officer with Easy company, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment 101st Airborne Division during World War II. Lieutenant Peacock joined Easy company as a platoon leader before Easy Company participated in Operation Market Garden. Peacock stayed with the company throughout the duration of the war, seeing action in Holland, Belgium during the Battle of the Bulge, and occupation duty in Germany and Austria. In the mini-series Band of Brothers he was described by Captain Winters: "God bless there isn't a person who works harder but I can't put him in charge of the whole company if I don't want him in charge of a platoon". Winters also states in his autobiography Beyond Band of Brothers: The War Memoirs of Major Dick Winters that Peacock was a good officer in the sense that had drive, desire, and care for his men.
