Lex Gold, CBE (born 14 December, 1940 in Lanark, Scotland) is a administrator and former footballer who currently serves as chairman of the Scottish Premier League and a director of Caledonian MacBrayne. Previously he was chairman of Hibernian Football Club and Lanarkshire National Health Service Board. He has been a director of Scottish Enterprise, the Scottish Chamber of Commerce and the Confederation of British Industry in Scotland.[1] Gold also played professional football as a teenager, including an 18 month spell with Rangers F.C.,[2] then was a civil servant for over thirty years. [1]
